Sick again.....
I have just been hit with the fifth cold this winter. That's ridiculous, its more colds than I have had in the last 5 years and I am not kidding. For two years I didn't even get a cold or flu (pre kids and during my first pregnancy). Its like my immune system is saying "woohoooo come one, come all, free entry to all colds and other annoying illnesses, I am shut down and don't feel like protecting my owner today". What is so different in my life today than three years ago when I was super healthy and never got sick. I have one word for you "CHILDREN".
Don't get me wrong I love my kids so so much, but it seems that having two kids screws with your immune system. Well mine anyway. Seems lack of sleep doesn't help either. I also have to go with the fact that we are getting out and spending a lot of time around other kids at play centre and music class etc so we are bound to get more bugs. The sad thing is that my little man has been the one to pass the bugs onto me every time (no matter how many times I wash my hands), poor little dude has had 5 colds since he was born as well. Luckily he is pretty laid back and its only the snotty noise that gets him annoyed.
It wouldn't be so bad if it were just the cold. But I have this annoying inherited asthmatic cough that I get after every cold that lasts 3-4 weeks. Where I have massive coughing fits to the point where I spew, sneeze or lately just cry as I am so tired and over it. Night time is the worst which makes sleeping difficult. Considering how long the winter is and that I have had five colds that last about four weeks in length then I have hardly had any time cough free this winter ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
So this morning I decided that I need to get my body back in tip top condition. Who cares about my weight or toning my body. My aim is to get my immune system back in tip top condition to the point where it laughs in the face of a cold. Now just to figure out how........
